Jenny Lavender

Biography

Born in Sydney, Jenny Lavender has lived most of her life in Quirindi NSW and is currently based in Narrabeen. Lavender has been creating all her life. Her originality was recognized at an early age and her flair with shape, colour, form and balance, have all contributed to her diverse body of work. Although having limited formal training, Lavender was mentored by Marion Hall-Best before marrying and moving to rural NSW. She has undertaken innumerable workshops with renowned artists such as Elisabeth Cummings, Idris Murphy, Ross Laurie, Peter Sharpe, Tony Tozer, and Ruth Faerber. Numerous art prizes and countless commendations have been received throughout her career.
