A passion for the local arts community led Carley McLaren to change from a busy career in human resources to art galleries with the establishment of the Walcha Gallery of Art in 2009. Quickly gaining a reputation for excellence and quality exhibitions the gallery exhibits a number of artists from the region. The Gallery’s philosophy is to establish a space dedicated to good design – a place for artists to exhibit in a contemporary setting and sell their works to local and travelling clientele. Carley has also been working with collectors, artists and galleries in Sydney to make Walcha a must-see destination for travelling art lovers.
