Laurie Mossuto

Laurie Mossuto exudes a style that has naturally evolved from years of experience as a graphic designer.
Simple creative visualisations of commercial products and designs, once rendered on paper with pen and coloured markers, have evolved to contemporary compositions from acrylic paints to giclee prints.
The style is graphic, the colours are pleasing to the eye, the sense of design is polished and the compositions are beautifully balanced.
Born in Sydney, Laurie studied painting and drawing full time at East Sydney Art College and thereafter, studied part time for several years. A successful career was forged in the world of commercial art, which led him to the position of partner and creative director in one of Sydney's leading graphic design groups, Villani Advertising.
In 1987, he resumed part time fine art studies for 4 years at the Julian Ashton Art College, where he studied acrylic painting techniques.
In 1991 he resigned his position as creative director to pursue a career in the world of fine art and now paints full time from his home studio on the north coast of NSW.
Laurie has proven he is one of the most respected still life painters in the country gaining finalist selection in several Eutick Memorial still Life Awards to date.
He has been selected as a finalist in many other art awards including the prestigious Essential Energy CountryScape Award for landscape painting.
